- In addition to being the key qualification leading to Six Sigma Black Belt, it is a fact that the Six Sigma Green Belt level of training provides a solid foundation to be able to effectively lead projects linked to the establishment of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Circles or Gemba Kaizen.
- Many Facilitators of such programmes have been trianed to this level of competence and enables them to fully appreciate the importance of such concepts as JIT, SMED, Cycle time reduction, TPM, Kaizen (Quality Circles), Hoshin Planning, Policy Deployment (Often referred to as Balanced Score Cards), Customer focussed Design for Six Sigma incorporating Concept Engineering, the Kano Model for determining Customer needs, product Development based on the principles of QFD. These form the main body of knowledge of the Brown Belt Training course which forms the next logical step towards Six Sigma Black Belt and Six Sigma Master Black Belt qualification.
- Six Sigma demands decisions based on fact using DMAIC,VOC, SIPOC, SPC and DOE. rather than untested opinion. DOE is taught at Black Belt level. SPC forms a major part of this Six Sigma Green Belt course dealing specifically with the 'M' (Measurements) aspect of the DMAIC problem solving sequence.
Completion of each Six Sigma Training Course will be recognised by the award of a certificate to that level. Successful participants will be registered with the International Academy for Quality Certification (IAQC) which is supported by DHI. This will enable them to be able to share ideas and be in contact with other Six sigma specialists all over the world.
Companies will benefit by having knowledgeable and trained personnel who can facilitate the rapid development of their quality system and in the improvement of suppliers’ performance.
Building on from the Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Course, participants will be involved in extensive skills development in the use of the Statistical Tools of Quality Improvement including Reliability prediction and analysis.
