In Hungary, David Hutchins was the first person from outside the Soviet Bloc to conduct seminars and training courses in Total Quality and Quality Circles when he worked with Medicor beginning in 1983.		In both Egypt and Tunisia, David Hutchins trained more than 40 companies in each country as part of UNIDO initiatives which were also funded by the World Bank. 	In South Africa, David Hutchins was an invited Keynote speaker at the inaugural SAQI conference just prior to the ending of apartheid to bring the quality professionals together into one single organisation.		In Iran David Hutchins trained Mobarakeh Steel - the largest Steel manufacturer in the Middle East in Total Quality. This was the first serious TQ programme in Iran and in the first 3 years their accountants claimed that they had saved more than $125M and an accruable $75M per year!
