One technique being used by leading organisations is often referred to as Hoshin kanri and there are some very effective variants to this approach. This is particularly the case with those organisations apply Six Sigma management and developing knowledge Based Management Systems.
Today, it is vital to be able to deploy clear goals down through the organisation in quantifiable form. All too frequently in the past, these non financial measures have been deployed in qualitative rather than quantitative form.
Policy Deployment provides an effective solution to this problem by providing managers at all levels through to front line supervision with clear quantified non financial goals for each of the relevant parameters.
Course objectives: To provide managers and planners concerned with business performance improvement with the tools and techniques necessary to deploy goals from the company level KPIs through to specific targets for line functions. The course will also show how this can link the targets to both cross functional Teamwork and Quality Circle type activities.
