Failure Modes and Effects Analysis - FMEA

In an age of increasing risk awareness, Failure Modes and Effects is a tool that can be used both in the design of new products and to reduce the risk of catastrophic failure of existing products and processes. In the case of the former it is referred to as Design FMEA and the latter Process FMEA. It is a systematic process that is simple to use and which has proved to be extremely effective when used by competant people.

Our course follows the 'SOD' principle - Severity, Opportunity, Detection - process which has been found to be the most popular appoach.

This course can be conducted as a half day appreciation course or one day which includes skill development.

It is best conducted on site where practical applications of its use can be considered.

It is appropriate for Designers and Engineers but it can also be applied by top management in  Hoshin  Kanri risk analysis.
