'Quick check' course and Unit fees
There is no need to calculate the fees yourself, our fee payment calculator will do it for you check the Enrolment page to follow the steps through to fee payment (by Pay Pal (Credit Card), Bank Transfer or Cheque)
Pay as you go
One feature of our approach is to offer a 'pay as you go' policy and pay Unit by Unit if you wish. As an example, a student who has registered for the Diploma in Quality management has the option of paying the full fee for the package with a 10% discount or to pay on a Unit by Unit basis. Check the cost of the Units here.
Diploma in Quality management
From our early experience, most people are likely either to want the full Diploma in Quality Management or the Level 3 Certificate in Quality Management. The Diploma comprises 9 Units which can be taken over a period of time at your own choosing. Successful completion of the Diploma enables the student to apply for full membership of the CQI and the designatory status of Chartered Quality Professional. Typically it would take 3 years from start to finish but it could be completed in 2 years if the student has the time to do the work. As a very rough guide each Unit could be completed in around 8 to 10 weeks at 2 hours per week. If you choose the Level 3 Certificate and later wish to do the Diploma you would have to repeat the Units that are common.
CQI Certificate fees
Although the student may choose any of the 6 CQI Certificates that are available in general we would recommend the full Diploma if the student is contemplating a career in the Quality Profession.
The fees shown in the following table assume that the student has not previously completed any other Certificate or Units of such Certificates. If they have then the fees for such Units may be deducted from the figures shown below. Examples of this are given below the table.
Please note that in addition to the following fees there is currently a further £50.00 examination fee (on the examined Units only) payable to the CQI if the examinations are taken at their nominated Centre. This might vary from time to time so please also check with the CQI. If the examinations are taken at other Centres of the students choice, they must negotiate the fee with them although they are mostly more or less in line with those of the CQI.
It can be seen that the fees for each of these CQI Certificates varies because they each have different numbers of Units and also because the Units each differ in length,
Single Unit fee structure
Whilst most students will probably want to work towards a defined qualification immediately, it is also possible to study Unit by Unit. This approach might suit those with little time to spare or who wish to 'test the water' with us before committing taking the plunge on a full qualification. Most if not all other service providers charge a blanket fee for all units.
DHIQC do not for the simple reason that the marerial content of each is different. Therefore if the student is paying unit by unit they may be overpaying for some Units and underpaying for others. Since we have set our prices lower than mostr anyway, even our more expensive units are still attractively priced.
In all cases with the exception of U512, there is a CQI fee of £55.00 which must be added to the fees above. In the case of U512, the CQI fee is £85.00 and an Examination fee (approximately £50.00 per examined subject) payable to the CQI when you choose to take the relevant examinations. This fee is also typical when the examination centres selected and negotiated by students are overseas or out of town.
Approximately 2 months before the examinations and Assignment submission students are required to complete CQI registration form ED-04 and form ED-03 when you enroll initially. This is required for all of the Certificates and the Diploma. ED-03, ED-04s and all other relevant documentation may be obtained from us, by email or the link under the heading Course enrolment below.
Note: that in all cases membership of the CQI is required for all CQI qualifications prior to registration. If not already a member please complete and return the Membership Application form by clicking here.
What we deliver
As soon as we receive your completed application form and fee you will immediately be mailed CDs for each Unit you intend to study initially and you will also be given access to a secure part of the DHI website referred to as the Student Portal and you can start work straight away if you wish.
The DHI package includes carefully designed materials specifically relevant to the Units being studied. These contain, Text, illustrations of key points, self test papers that can be marked by us, suggestions for self managed projects at your place of work, more references to other supportive text similar to that covered in the content of each Unit illustrated in our website and a whole library of text, video and other materials on the Student Portal part of our website which will become available to you once registered with us. Unlike many other service providers who adapted materials from the previous versions of the courses, all of our materials were created especially for these courses.
Depending upon the Units that are included in your selected qualification you will have access to selected learning resources relevant to your programme of study. These include selected articles, DVD, video, slide presentations and other products that you will be able access at will. These will continually be updated to be sure of being topical at all times. News items will also be added.
In addition to this, there is a student’s forum where students are encouraged to network with each other and with their assigned tutors.
From time to time, DHI will announce networking events that will enable students to meet and discuss their needs and concerns and work together on project work related to the Units being studied.
Attempts will be made on a regular basis to contact students at times agreed in order to ensure full support during their study period. This support which includes telephone, Skype if this is available, and email will be given for the duration of the period of study.
The CQI Units are each separate and distinct topics and coursework for each Unit will be provided.
