Distance learning fee structure
There is no need to calculate the fees yourself, our fee payment calculator will do it for you check the Enrolment page to follow the steps through to fee payment (by Pay Pal (Credit Card), Bank Transfer or Cheque)
Pay as you go
One feature of our approach is to offer a 'pay as you go' policy and pay Unit by Unit if you wish. As an example, a student who has registered for the Diploma in Quality management has the option of paying the full fee for the package with a 10% discount or to pay on a Unit by Unit basis. Check the cost of the Units here.
Diploma in Quality management
From our early experience, most people are likely either to want the full Diploma in Quality Management or the Level 3 Certificate in Quality Management. The Diploma comprises 9 Units which can be taken over a period of time at your own choosing. Successful completion of the Diploma enables the student to apply for full membership of the CQI and the designatory status of Chartered Quality Professional. Typically it would take 3 years from start to finish but it could be completed in 2 years if the student has the time to do the work. As a very rough guide each Unit could be completed in around 8 to 10 weeks at 2 hours per week. If you choose the Level 3 Certificate and later wish to do the Diploma you would not have to repeat the Units that are common.
CQI Certificate fees
Although the student may choose any of the 6 CQI Certificates that are available in general we would recommend the full Diploma if the student is contemplating a career in the Quality Profession.
The fees shown in the following table assume that the student has not previously completed any other Certificate or Units of such Certificates. If they have then the fees for such Units may be deducted from the figures shown below. Examples of this are given below the table.
Please note that in addition to the following fees there is currently a further £40.00 examination fee payable to the CQI . This might vary in future years, we will update our site when this occurs but please also check the CQI web site. Our fees will remain firm for any student from the day that he/she enrolls for one of the Units regardless as to whether we increase them generally.;
It can be seen that the fees for each of these CQI Certificates varies because they each have different numbers of Units and also because the Units each differ in length,
Single Unit fee structure
Whilst most students will probably want to work towards a defined qualification immediately, it is also possible to study Unit by Unit. This approach might suit those with little time to spare or who wish to 'test the water' with us before committing taking the plunge on a full qualification. Most if not all other service providers charge a blanket fee for all units.
DHIQC do not for the simple reason that the marerial content of each is different. Therefore if the student is paying unit by unit they may be overpaying for some Units and underpaying for others. Since we have set our prices lower than mostr anyway, even our more expensive units are still attractively priced.

In the case of U512, the CQI fee is £82.00 and an Examination fee (approximately £75.00 per subject) payable to the CQI when you choose to take the relevant examinations. This fee is typical when the examination cetres are overseas or out of town.

- Announcement each month of our free approximately monthly electronic newspaper 'Review' and occasioanlly an update of 'Touchstone'.
- Access to the extensive DHI Body of Quality Knowledge (BoQK) and our extensive library of books, conference proceedings and a wealth of research materials obtained first hand by David Hutchins from our many benchmarking and research trips to Japan over a 40 year period and elsewhere that are probably unique and certainly unobtainable from other educational sources
