Six Sigma is being recognised outside of Japan* as being the most powerful management concept to have been successfully implemented in non Japanese cultures. Companies that have properly applied its disciplines are experiencing results an order of magnitude more beneficial that by any other means they have so far attempted. *The Japanese version of Total Quality Management embraces both Six Sigma, Hoshin Kanri and Lean Manufacturing. DHI are fully qualified to assist in this form of training if required.

Although the Yellow Belt course is a foundation for Green Belt, Brown Belt and Black Belt levels. Ultimately it can lead to Master Black Belt. The reasons for Six Sigma success are not hard to find:
- Six Sigma demands decisions based on fact using powerful tools such as DMAIC, VOC, SIPOC, SPC and DOE (Design of Experiments) rather than rely on untested opinion data.
- It also enables a strong link to the effective implementation of the ‘Lean’ concept of operations management. This includes JIT, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies), Cycle time reduction, TPM, Kaizen (Quality Circles), Hoshin Planning, Policy Deployment (Often referred to as Balanced Score Cards), Customer focussed Design for Six Sigma incorporating Concept Engineering, the Kano Model for determining Customer needs, product Development based on the principles of QFD.
- Supply Chain Management development.
Benefits: Completion of each Six Sigma training course will be recognised by the award of a certificate to that level. Successful participants will be registered with the newly formed International Academy for Quality Certification (IAQC) which is highly respected in the Far East and is supported by DHI. IAQC was the first international qualification body for Six Sigma. This will enable qualified Yellow, Green, Brown and Black Belts to share ideas and be in contact with other Six Sigma specialists all over the world. Companies will benefit by having knowledgeable and trained personnel who can facilitate the rapid development of their quality system and in the improvement of suppliers’ performance.
