Six Sigma - Brown Belt Training Courses
 |
The DHI Six Sigma Brown Belt Training Course is unique in its form.
Many Six Sigma service providers do not include it at all in their training programmes.
Our objective is to enable the link from pure Six Sigma into both Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and into Lean manufacture.
There is more on this latter concept in the Six Sigma Black Belt Course.
We also include the principles of Reliability prediction which includes statiostical tools and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and reliability Analysis which involves the use of Weibull Analysis. Both of these critically important topics have been largely neglected in recent years.

Why is Six Sigma successful?
The reasons are not hard to find:
- Six Sigma demands decisions based on fact using such tools as SPC and DOE. rather than untested opinion.
- It embraces the ‘Lean’ concept of operations management. This includes JIT, SMED, Cycle time reduction, TPM, Kaizen (Quality Circles), Hoshin Planning, Policy Deployment (Often referred to as Balanced Score Cards), Customer focussed Design for Six Sigma incorporating Concept Engineering, the Kano Model for determining Customer needs, product Development based on the principles of QFD.
- Voice of the Customer (VOC) and Supply Chain Management development.
- DHI brings all of these together in this course, which incidentally can with minor adjustments, stand alone.
- As with all our other course modules for Yellow, Green and Black Belt training courses, the Six Sigma Brown Belt Training Course is followed by an 'in house' project.
Benefits:
Completion of each DHI Six Sigma Training Course will be recognised by the award of a certificate to that level. Successful participants will be registered with the International Academy for Quality Certification (IAQC) which is supported by DHI. This will enable them to be able to share ideas and be in contact with other Six sigma specialists all over the world.
Companies will benefit by having knowledgeable and trained personnel who can facilitate the rapid development of their quality system and in the improvement of suppliers’ performance.
Course objectives:
