Six Sigma Public Courses

The DHI suite of Six Sigma training courses have evolved from our extensive range of courses in the field of Total Quality which root back to the 1970s. From the early 1980s we had the good fortune to represent Dr Juran and his work here in the United Kingdom. The full range included the 16 video tape series Juran on Quality Improvement, 'Juran on Quality Planning', 'Quality Minutes', 'Juran on Quality Leadership' and 'Benchmarking'.  David Hutchins also co-presented with Dr Juran and Dr Frank Gryna the very popular 4 day course 'Managing for Quality' which they conducted in the UK until Dr Juran's retirement from international travel in 1992.

During this period, Motorola were also using the Juran materials throughout their operations under the leadership of Bob Galvin, CEO and great personal friend of Dr Juran. They found, as we did that those who took the trouble to collect and analyse the data achieved results more than an order of magnitude better than those who did not and coined the term for the factual approach, Six Sigma.

It is precisely because we were already encouraging our clients to follow the factual approach (together with Hoshin Kanri at the top) that our clients programmes have been as incredibly successful as they have been.

Whilst this has inevitably been our 'in house' work, we have also been very successful in the conduct of Public Six Sigma courses as can be seen from the pdf file attached below:
